Pure Church
SERVICE
For we are God’s fellow workers; you are God’s field, God’s building.
1 Corinthians 3:9
Most Christians think they should be attending a Church in order to fulfil their calling as a follower of Christ, but Jesus did not call us to 'go to church' but to 'be the church'.
Service is not a programme of events that happen within a church building once a week. Service is about offering ourselves to help others and sanctifying our time to God daily in the sphere in which we live.
The structure that lies within church services can be easily replicated within the family household - in fact this is where it all began! Praise and worship (music and singing), prayer, teachings, bible readings, taking communion, offering peace and the commission to go into the world to leave traces of God's grace wherever we go, was how the first followers of Christ began their service to God. Exploring these aspects of a service outside the building of a church can bring a new and deeper meaning to our lives and helps us grow in our Christian walk.
I find it very sad that people think if you are a Christian you should attend a Church. Exploring our faith at home, on the way to and from work or wherever we may be day to day, helps deepen our relationship with Christ. Why? Because that was how God meant it to be.
If you don't yet know Christ, or you are a new Christian or even if you have been a Christian for many years, this website will help you find freedom to serve Him, love and help others and deepen your faith outside of a church building.
